Wedding Vows

Do you? I do
Said so often
By two people
Joining in holy matrimony

By their uniting
A personal union
Of two to become one

Receiving each
Into the other’s life
To cherish and protect
For richer and poorer

To share all to come
Both sunshine and rain
Two people, one life connecting them

  1. I said those two words more than 29 years ago. A lot has happened in that time, but I still remember those two words and who I said them to. We’ve been together all that time through things that would have split lesser people.

I don’t think less of people whose marriages fail. as a matter of fact some that I know are going through this pain and will come out of this standing tall. They prove it’s not the end of their life and will serve to be an example to others.

Marriage is not a 50-50 deal. It takes 100% from both to make it work.

  2. I remember these words as if it were yesterday. Now he no longer loves me after 27 years, 22yr old boy and 24 yr old girl with 2 grandboys-5yr old and 2 yr old. He no longer speaks to them or has any contact with them. this is someone I never dreamed I would find to know. He lost all the godly words of I do and only to you. He has ran around on me for over 5 yrs and I caught him, this has caused alot of heart ache for me, and don’t ever think I can trust for a long time. This has been a horrible road to travel and I wish it on not even my worst enemy.

  3. Yvonne: I’m so sorry for your pain. It hurts deeply to have your heart broken and your life turned upside down. I wish you blessings of peace and healing. Thanks for stopping by.
