Wishful Thinking 2011

Seems so foreign to me
Another country, maybe
Some strange place
Where we wait
For the nightmare to end
Always hoping–to find ourselves
In some gentler place
Where wretched memories pale to laughter
Where the years ahead
Outnumber those behind us
